THE ART OF LIVING,
BY CHRISTIAN BENSE

Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences introduces its first show apartments, designed by South African designer Christian Bense. Set above London’s first Park Hyatt Hotel in Nine Elms, the residences combine striking architecture and panoramic Thames views with warm, layered interiors designed for contemporary city living. The collection comprises 103 turnkey residences, with Bense’s two apartments offering distinct interpretations of the Park Hyatt residential experience.

A LAYERED APPROACH
TO MID-CENTURY DESIGN

Christian Bense has created two interiors drawing on mid-century references from the 1950s to the 1970s. Rather than feeling styled for a single moment, both homes are designed to feel collected over time, combining natural materials with contemporary and vintage pieces. Soft plaster, timber and stone create a warm backdrop, while bespoke furniture and works by British and international makers add individuality and character.

CHRISTIAN BENSE

Christian Bense is a South African designer and founder of Christian Bense Studio. His interiors for Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences mark the first collaboration for his studio with the collection, bringing a considered take on cosmopolitan living to Level 26. Bense pairs raw architectural finishes with textural warmth, working with prominent British makers to give each room its own character: “Designing the residences at Park Hyatt has been an exciting opportunity to create homes that feel both elevated and genuinely liveable.”
